Being a single dad to a couple of 5 year old twin boys isn't anything like a leisurely walk in a park. Most notably so now that its little league soccer season all over again. This season yours truly is the main honcho for getting the team's kit ready.
Being one of but three guys among 13 women in our team's committee, it was a bit of a struggle to persuade the majority of the committee to come to an agreement not to change the team's uniform color from red to pink. But as hard as we tried, we did not manage to change the team moniker to The Red Warlocks from The Red Flamingos.
After sourcing for jerseys, and believe it or not - sponsors, it came to my attention that our kids' soccer team did not even have its own logo. I touched on this matter with the other two dads and we concluded that it might be a wonderful idea if we were to have our very own team symbol. So we decided to design a team logo each and display them to the committee.
All 3 of us met the next weekend with our designs and had a good spine splitting laugh, before we agreed that there could be a slight chance that we weren't cut out to be designers. As it seems my Flamingo looked more like a Woodpecker on banned anabolic matter. The so called works of pure creative genius from the other two weren't much better. One could possibly pass off as a work by Picasso and the other seemed like bored doodlings from a unfortunate victim of a 6 hour long department meeting. But we went ahead and handed the design drafts to the committee anyway.
Though the committee unanimously prohibited the 3 of us from designing anything for the club until such time when certain farm animals sprout wings and fly, they did come to agreement that our soccer team should certainly have its very own logo. So I went back home and conducted a search for logo design brazil, selected a handful of the more prominent design companies and presented them to the committee.
Now we are glad to announce that our soccer team has its very own original logo. We had badges made for the jerseys and logo stickers made for the fun of it - thanks to a bit of sponsorship we got from the ice cream shop next to the park. The logo design itself came off looking quite cool with a a bright red Flamingo standing on one leg while the other is resting on a soccer ball with its wings crossed.
There's a rumor going around that next year yours truly will be in charge of water based sustenance. I'm thinking of taking it a notch higher and am in the process of getting the paperwork done to present to Gatorade about a sponsorship agreement.
